  • Captured this photo on a whale watching excursion in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Normally shooting into the sun creates problems, but in this instance, it helped highlight the whale against the distant landscape.
    Wildlife
  • This photograph was taken from the meadow outside Double Cabin Campground, north of Dubois, Wyoming in the morning just after the sun rose over the mountains.
    Landscapes
  • This photo of my nieces was taken in 2007 when I was just starting digital photography. The focus is soft, but I love their expression and the rim light.
    Portraits
  • I was simply taking a picture on the memorial when this woman reached up a touched the wall. Fortunate to have been there at that exact moment.
    People
  • On a hiking trip in the mountains of Wyoming, I came upon a hillside of Yellow Indian Paintbrush.
    Flora
  • There is nothing better than playing in the water on a rainy day. I managed to capture my niece doing just that on one of our camping trips.
    Black & White
  • This photo was taken for the architect after the completion of the nature center's construction.
    Architecture
  • This piece of Depression-era glass is a flycatcher. Flies that were attracted to the honey poured in the lip on the underside of the glass would not be able to escape.
